WOYWW 127

Wednesday already? What's happened... where has the last week gone? Actually, where has the past year gone?
I have had no time spare in the last few weeks to do anything really - and I'm so behind on what's been happening on other people's blogs... oh, the guilt! Trips to the hospital, doctors, parents, friends and shopping has taken up all my days - and the rest of my spare time has been used up with ... oh, my - can I even type the word here...? ... housework! I've cleaned out the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom so that they're all ready for theYuletide season. I've scrubbed, polished, vaccuumed and thrown away so many bin bags full of rubbish that it wouldn't surprise me if the bin men took one look and decided to go on strike again. I'm even late on putting up the decorations this year. Every November 1st, the loft is raided, and Christmas begins! I only managed to get the tree up on the 7th this year! Yes.. I know... I've been told a thousand times already that I'm a bit of a Christmas freak. Anyway... here's my tidy-ish desk today:
And yes, that really is a little gold Christmas tree on my desk :)
I've made the front cover of the album (bottom middle) and decided to ModPodge the roses on the stand too, as I discovered tat the colours really 'pop' with a bit of a varnish (middle).  Lots of Christmas magazines and brochures - I have two main pressies left to buy and then the main bulk of it is all done, but I do love looking through these publications just to see the pretty Yuletide glitz.
So, a quiet and simple desk this week for me on "What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday"... pop on over to Julia at the Stamping Ground if you want to see more workdesks - or add your name to the ever-growing list and join in the nosey fun :)
Have a wonderful Wednesday all!

Just a quick add here... the photograph is awful because in real life you can't see all the horrid wires... but here's my tree all decorated and ready for December 25th...
I don't do tinsel... I leave that to people who can colour co-ordinate *lol*

I am a little scared by the level of organisation regarding Christmas... I am only just thinking about trying to make a bit of a list and think about colour schemes... I need to get cracking... sure yours will be less stressful than mine inevitably is xx

I decorate my home the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I have done it that way ever since I was in University. It was the one long weekend I always had during the fall semester. But if you like to put yours up the first of Nov., that's what makes you happy! I thought I would stop by for a short visit before I went to bed and say happy WOYWW from #4.

Wow, this must be the earliest Cristmas three ever! We have so little room, that we don´t take any three - except the yucca palm in our living room. At Cristmas we put lights on it!
Have a nice day!

OMG! I was so upset that I wrote ´three´ instead of ´tree´ :D

That's really early a Christmas tree in november. We put ours the weekend before Christmas. But I love the atmosphere when he's in. Love your album cover on your desk. The colours are so autumn.
Thanks for sharing. Bye, Franka

If doing Christmas early floats your boat, then go for it girlie!! I suspect you're a bit of a sparkle magpie and that's the real reason you put your trees up! Blingtastic :)

Ooooh I spent ages on a reply, hit return and close, just in time to see the word verification come up and all was......lost........

Needless to say I have a bah humbug husband who has to suffer decorations from the 1st Dec! I like crafting presents because it lets me think about it all from September but I can't buy anything until after 5th November or I spend way to much money (I get far too excited!)

Beautiful album cover, love the colour scheme. And thanks for the link to the loo paper mini books, made my first one a couple of weeks ago!!

I love Christmas too, but hubby won't go with anything before 1/12, so I get my Chrimbo fix making cards and pressies!

Bit too early for Christmas in our house. Our tree usually goes up on 17th Dec (my late Dad's birthday)and then I take it down on New Years Day. Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas but I like to get back to normal.
Love the colours on your album, very rich

You have made me yearn for a box of decorations so that I can put a little tree on my desk too!

I'm so jealous of your neat and tidy desk. Still have to get to mine this week. It's in sad shape. I love your pretty little gold tree, that is just right for your desk.

I love Christmas trees and usually put up 2 and one in each kids room. I can never decide on just one theme for a tree so that's why I like a few. This year will probably only be one though.
You really put yours up early but you are not the only one. Lots of people can't wait and start on Nov. 1st.
We usually put ours up about the second/third weekend of December and take it down New Years Day. I love my tree and keep the lights on all day but don't want it to early.
I do start decorating though before the tree goes up.

Your tree is beautiful and I never use tincil either. Too messy!

Just two main presents to buy! Oh you are enviable! And I love it that you have a little Christmas tree on your desk- it'll keep you merry and bright! You obviously DO love Christmas! My husband used to insist we put up the decorations AFTER advent, until my son was old enough to ask why we didn't have a tree yet and everybody else had! You'll love it here in the Philippines- we have the longest Christmas season. As soon as the -ber months come, there are Christmas carols sang on the radio and in the malls, Christmas segments in the morning news, etc. have fun with your crafts! Patsy from

I think I could have my tree up earlier too if it wasn't for my husband saying no! He is going to China next week for three weeks so he may have a surprise when he comes home. Hope you have a great week. Thanks for sharing. Vickie #56

Gosh, but you are uber-organised. I don't do Christmas decorating until December and that's for my DH's benefit - if it was up to me the tree and decorations would not go up until Christmas Eve for the 12 days only - don't get me wrong, I do love Christmas but for a limited period only :) Have a great week.
