WOYWW #424

Wednes-YAY!
Time for another
Hosted by our wonderful Ms Julia at the Stamping Ground, it's a nosey-crafters paradise of blog hopping show-and-tell of our work/craft desks/spaces/laps/gardens... lol
Last week I was a BAD WOYWW-er, with no visits at all to any desks :( I'm sorry for that - this week I WILL try harder :)
I have spent Tuesday afternoon at the hospital Neurological clinic, where a consultant (we'll just call him Dr Chocolate Teapot) spent an hour not listening to me and referring me back to have an MRI. So... my desk is somewhat of a mess (well, no surprise there then lol).
My latest project of two mini-albums in a drawer and box stack is coming along - the first album is finished and I'm just beginning the second one for the drawer. Glue pots, tape, tools and the first page of the new album are scattered around. My glue has decided it wants to be a mini-volcano and is trying to erupt out of the bottle.
One side of the rail above my desk is being used as a "Where can I put this?" place - tapes, my nanny-plaque, keyrings and necklaces are hung and abandoned on the rail of items crafting forgot lol I still haven't got any 'proper' fixings for my camera - it's holding on with a little (a lot!) of help from some washi tape lol But, hey, it works... and if it ain't broke, don't fix it, ... right?
The other side of the rail still has my tassels hanging up... along with some hairbands (they make brilliant closures), more jewellery, another plaque (a 'friend' one this time) and some holly garland.
It's a little dark... but here above my desk...
... is 'stuff' lol. Spare glue, tape dispenser, little metal boxes that look like suitcases, and empty box with a tatted doily covering it, and some mixer bottles. All stuff I thought might come in useful... maybe lol. Some of my smaller paper pads are also stashed up there. There is yet another shelf above that one where I keep a lot of my A4 plain cardstock..
I am supposed to be filming the construction of the mini album, page by page... but I hate to film when there's a thunder storm raging. Anyway... its nice to sit here at silly-time-in-the-morning and just listen to the storm :)

It is just left to say that Mr Linky had his tickles and gave me number.... 5

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!

Morning. What fun to peep all round our desk area today. A thunderstorm? You've had one already? I know it's darker here this morning than of late - but no cooler - it's already well over 70degrees! - but no rain or thunder yet...
Hope you have a good day with your filming and your mini albums.
Take care. God bless.

Not keen on thunder and lightening. Here (north England) it's very windy and dull, just hope it is blowing any storms away.
Thanks for the tour of your craft area and sorry to hear of the useless consultant. Isn't it annoying when they won't listen to you. Afterall you know your own body better than they do so they should listen. Hope you are alright!
Hugs, Neet 1 xx

Lots to see in your work area.
The thunder storm hit here about 3am - lots of lightening and thunderclaps even before the rain hit. It woke me up and kept me awake for ages so my eyes are in need of matchsticks this morning as I try to get ready for work.

I use that glue and havent encountered that as a problem - yet! I bet it will happen at the MOST inconvenient time! Your space looks amazing, would love to poke about, I do think the rail is a fab idea...although the washi tape and the camera make me a bit fearful!
I'm so sorry about the Dr Chocolate Teapot incident. You wait so long for these appointments and then it's just an anti climax. I do hope you can find some explanations or advice soon. X

I love the rail for 'where can I put this' - think we all need somewhere like that. I have a big box for 'work in progress' although quite often it just has everything put in it that hasn't yet been put where it should be. Thanks for sharing your craft space on WOYWW. Hazel WOYWW 12 x

Such a great workspace where there's a place for everything! Isn't it infuriating when medics don't listen...grrrrrr.

Sorry to hear that you are not making better progress with your medical consultations; it must be most frustrating. Great work area. i hadn't thought of adding hanging rails in my shed and it could be easily done. Thanks for sharing your space. Sarah #17

Hi Bubbles! Took me a few seconds to get the Dr Chocolate Teapot joke, LOL! Hope everything turns out ok with the scan. I have a lot of temporary storage areas titled "where can I put this?" In fact, most of my storage areas are like that and I just dump thing in boxes and then have a hard time remembering where I put them - most of the time I just forget about them altogether - only to discover them a few months later - exclaiming "I didn't know I had these"! Mm, Bubble, it's really curious isn't it how Drs can loook like they're listening then begin to chatter in such a way to share their thoughts, showing they were really just waiting for you to come up for air, just so they could talk, and no at all listening...
We live with our bodies and conditions 24/7, 365 days a year, we might be credited with knowing just little something about them.

Loving your rails idea, but not so sure on floating cameras. I've had sssues with dropped cameras... not always a good result.
Thanks so much for your great desky share.

Look like you've been having fun!
The thunderstorm missed us so I had a sleepless night waiting for it to come for nothing AND I still have to water the garden tonight!!!
Have a good week

Hi Bubbles, You sure have a lot around you. Looking forward to seeing both your albums when they are finished.

Hope the MRI prompts them to do more than pretend to be doing something. Hang on in there.

Think the storm made it's away across country. We had it about 4.30am this morning.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I love your little mini album!! And I hope that Dr. Chocolate Teapot doesn't know what he is talking about and you DON'T NEED and MRI!! LOL Healing to you! I know all about the erupting glue, except mine is from my glue gun! No matter what I do, that glue just gushes and gushes out of the gun!! Have wasted so many glue sticks! LOL Happy Wednesday! Oh dear, so sorry to read that Dr C. Teapot spent a whole hour of his time not listening to you - how frustrating is that.

It's so frustrating to talk to a doctor who is not listening to you, that's terrible! Thank you for the tour, very interesting to see how others do things! I use hair ties for lots more than hair as well! Thanks for sharing, Lindart #35

I live in the middle of nowhere so, I get that lack of dr. options here and am hoping maybe you can find one that will listen to you. and get started on having things fixed.
yep, the nook is getting a window seat next to those shelves so, eventually :) ~Stacy #30

Your desk looks very busy. Good luck filming. I just love a good thunderstorm when I can stay indoors and just listen to it rumble.

Sorry I'm late to return your visit. I had to put away my quilts yesterday to do several urgently needed sewing jobs...i shortened an evening dress made 3 School Memory bears and shorten the sleeves on a gents suit jacket all left to the last minute and all needed for today! Thankfully I got it all done and can now catch up with my blogs.
I hope the thunderstorm has moved over now and you have managed to get your filming done.

Oh noooo, your desk is not messy! I not only have a messy desk I have a messy room! I'm hoping to rectify that once I retire. I know I'm going to find lots of duplicates, etc.
I love the paper to the left of your tassles - is that wallpaper? So pretty. Of course, what first attracted me was the tassles. Very nice.
I'm visiting late this week!! Today is my last day on the job and I'm taking advantage!

Great photos of your area today; too bad we can't hear the thunderstorm in the background. LOL. I see you do like green as your blog background color is green. You had said that on my blog when you visited earlier. BTW, thank you. #33

Consultants can be SO frustrating some times, so I can sympathise and hopefully you can either get one who listens or find out a way you can both work together (I ended up writing my questions down and taking someone with me to prompt me to ask when he didnt answer them-a pain at the time but now we have an understanding and get on better).

the thunder storm hit down in the SW UK about 03:30 and was awesome and cleared the air (thankfully).
