WOYWW #418

Firstly, huge apologies for not visiting everyone last week - my internet went down :( Hopefully, this week I'll join in fully for
Hosted by the wonderfully arty Ms Julia each week, you can find details on how to join in on her site here :) I gave Mr Linky a tickle Wednesday afternoon, and collected my number... 36
I am running very late again lol
Because I had no internet, I have been busy filming the tutorial for The Raven mini album that I have finally finished :) It's a haphazard affair, full of mistakes and forgetful moments - but I had fun filming it. Of course, this means my desk is a bit sparse this week...
The finished album is here, on it's stand with a bottle of ink (I made a new label for the bottle to tie it in with the album) and a feather quill in a pen stand. Ed and "you can call him Al" are perched happily beside the album, along with my new tape dispenser. I just thought a penny-farthing holder for sticky tape was such a good idea, I had to buy it lol. It's not actually such a brilliant tape dispenser... but it looks good. The rest of the desk is full of pressies and gifts...
My new OttLite has been brilliant - thank you so much for the recommendation Elizabeth (& Bluebeard). I have a new DVD/disc drive - a pressie from my lovely mum :) Hubby chose the cover for my desk - it's wipe-clean vinyl so I can remove the pet hair and kitty paw prints with ease :)
Lots of gifts this side of my desk - all from my daughter's best friend (thank you Louise!) - you can't see the shell very well, but trust me when I say that it is so gorgeous :)

So, that's my desk this week.
I hope everyone has an amazing Wednes-YAY!

Hi Bubbles- Internet gremlins were busy last week then! That was two of us. Love all the gifts you had- fab pieces. Laughed at the Penny Farthing tape dispenser. I've bought stuff that was just such a great idea, but turned out to not be much good at it's intended purpose too. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #6 XxX

Splendid desk ... a quill pen - hope you get on well with that, still struggling to get to grips with my glass nibbed dip pen!

Happy WOYWW and thanks for the visit to my own desk

I love the idea of a wipe-able desk cover :)

Don't worry about the tape dispenser just leave the tape in there and use some you keep in a craft drawer. One day when you run out it will be there(they and a few other essentials to the crafting life run out on high days and holidays).

Thanks for visiting, cats on lock-down as the new scheduled visit to vet is coming up very soon.

Hello there, thanks for visiting. Wish my mum 's bungalow was near to me and my brother, she could stay in it and we could cope . But unfortunately she is so far away and my sister who does live near her wants things to change :-( all very sad. I remember wishing that computers etc would go away lol now I couldn't manage with out the internet :-) Have a good week, Anne x #19

WOW! The album looks fab in the holder and you were spot on with adding the bottle..it oozes atmosphere and 'read me' vibes! Wonderful.
You had some lovely pressies. I love the comment about the tape dispenser - oh I have so many things that look great but really aren't the tools they should be...am sure we're suckers for the 'packaging'!

The wipe clean cloth sounds like a perfect idea, I might have to get one of those, we use an old tablecloth but it's getting to the point of not being able to be washed anymore, lol.
What a great desk!!
Thanks for popping by earlier and your lovely comments.

The album is AMAZING!!! And I love all the little details with it, just brilliant. The penny farthing tape holder is a must, I'd have one too if i knew where to get one, Steampunk rules, as far as I'm concerned!

Your album looks extremely smart and professional, Bubbles. Your desk this week is full of interest! I adore the tape dispenser - too bad it doesn't work very well, but if I'd seen that, I'd have bought it like a shot, too!! Thank you for your lovely comment. Unfortunately Beatrice isn't doing too well - she's obviously still pining for Phoebe, and she's now not eating and seems constipated (the vet warned her bowel might not work properly with the compressed disc in her spine) so my hubby is taking her back to the vet today. We think her time may be rapidly approaching, too... I feel very, very sad about it all. As for my project, I've just updated my blog with the next stage in the project with the hand-made paper and so far it's looking pretty good! I am pleased, and can't wait to get back to do some more!

Happy belated WOYWW,

You've always got loads of interesting goodies on your desk, the tape dispenser is great and I know I'd use even if it didn't work so well - I have many things like that in my home - aesthetics first, performance second!
Sorry I'm so late getting round, I hope you have a great rest of the week!

Sorry I'm late visiting. My internet was down for nearly two days. Does that sound familiar? YES, it happens to the best of us. sadly, while mine was down, I was on the phone trying to get it back up, so no making art or videoing for me (something I don't have equipment for, anyway).

I'm so glad I was able to advise you on the OTT light. You certainly got a great one, and much large than my three. I also love the Penny Farthing tape dispenser. What an incredibly clever idea.

The vinyl desk cover is fabulous. Clever husband to choose something wipeable (let's hope that's a real word).

But then there is your fabulous new album. The cover is out of this world. I am truly impressed and can't wait to see the inside, too. Happy belated WOYWW from #5.

Fabulous post,
Sorry for the delay in commenting, laptop trouble. It's died on me and I'm in a bit of a flap.
On a positive note, my Dear Husband plans to buy a replacement for me.
