WOYWW #404

After another LONG hiatus, I am back again :) and returning for the always fantastic "What's On Your Work-desk Wednesday?". Hosted by the amazing Ms Julia over at The Stamping Ground.
Want to join in and have a nosy peek at other people's work spaces? Just click  to pop over to Julia's page, and all will be revealed on what to do.
So...
Today I am number 17 :)
Not a great deal has happened since October last year - I am STILL trying to lose that last 12 pounds in weight... and I haven't been crafting a great deal at all. I have been trying to get my home in order - room by room :) Right-O! onto my desk. I was inspired by Alexandra M to make a mini-album, and on my desk is the start of my new project.
It's all quite tidy at the moment - but that won't last long lol. The project sits in the middle of the desk - along with a little chocolate to keep me going. The only items I seem to be accumulating are adhesives - tapes and glue - because I can never make up my mind which to use at any certain point in making the mini-album.
I did spend almost an hour cleaning my craft mats. I do have a new one - but didn't want to start using it because it will get ruined lol.
My cup-flask of coffee has to stay handy too - as well as my glasses.
This project is going to take a long time. I have had a few falls in recent months - breaking bones all over the place. I broke my little finger on my right hand, and it's not healed properly, so much so that it's practically useless. I also suffer with psoriasical arthritis, and this has caused the skin at my finger joints to dry and crack so much that I can barely bend my fingers. Still... could be worse :)
Right now, I'm writing up a list of "I want..." that includes dies, scissors, papers, glues, tools - a whole medley of little things that will add up to a whole lot of money lol. Well, I can dream... right?

I'll try to post more regularly - but not making any promises :)

Have A Wonderful Wednesday Everyone!

Lovely to see your blog post and that you have a project on the go.
Sorry to hear about the broken bones. Let's hope with Spring on the way (and hopefully some better weather) the arthritis will ease.
Have a lovely week.

Hi there. Glad to see you around. Isn't it wonderful to belong to a group where no-one is hassling you to keep up and always be present! Trust your health will improve somewhat, and broken bones will mend soon so that all the wonderful crafty bits you want to do can be done...
Take care. God bless.

ha haha, trying to lose weight ... chocolate to keep me going!!! laughed out loud I did...I find being at my desk helps with the food intake, I get so caught up in the act I forget to snack, then I eat far more healthily and i take really long walks straight after I eat - works a treat...oh and I NEVER buy sweets or chocolate, I do however makes cakes with our eggs from our chickens, then give them away straightway to the neighbours, saving a Parisienne size morsel for me an a man sized chuck for my Mr G. dxxx#28

Welcome back! Sorry to hear about the bones. Hopefully you won't hurt anything else. I love making mini-albums. I've learned that you can never have too much tape lol. I like the redline tape as it seems to stick better. Once you start making them and get the hang of them they are a little addictive!

So sorry to hear about your hands - I had some arthritis in my hands a few years ago, luckily it seems to be gone now. I have recently become interested in mini-albums, watching lots of You Tube videos. I will look forward to see what you do with yours. Don't break any more bones! Thanks for sharing, Lindart #40

I do hope things pick up for you. I know what it's like to have dry skin. I have worked with lots of chemicals when I was teaching textiles but my doctor has recommended some great creams that have made a fantastic difference to my hands and they are no where near as dry now. Cetraben is one of the best and now available from Boots the Chemist too. Happy crafty WOYWW, Angela x 21
